Ask about your dateAn Ashlar wedding comes as one package, so you are not left hiring a caterer, renting tables or chasing a rental company, and the day you plan is the day your guests get. The property is yours for the day, dinner is cooked on site by our culinary team, and your venue director and service team keep the day running from your first planning meeting through to your last song. It is built for 30 to 65 guests in a restored 1890 schoolhouse in Munster, about 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa. The price is built from a $2,500 venue fee and a dining rate per guest set by the date you choose, and most weddings fall between $10,000 and $25,000.

How your date sets the price
Three date tiers, each with its own price per guest and its own guest minimum. The day you choose sets the dining rate, and a $2,500 venue fee applies to every tier. The dining and the inclusions are the same on every date.
Marquee dates and long weekends bill at Tier One. Although we welcome smaller groups, dining is priced on the minimum number of adult guests for your date.

How the total cost of an Ashlar wedding is built
Pricing transparency is something we value. All weddings at Ashlar are priced the same way, in four parts.
- A $2,500 venue fee, flat on every date, for exclusive use of the entire property
- Dining per guest, set by the tier your date falls in
- Open bar packages, priced per guest, with extras quoted on request
- 15% gratuity on the full subtotal, all of it to the team on the floor, then 13% HST at invoice
Dining starts at $169 per guest, and most weddings fall between $10,000 and $25,000.
What is not included?
Florals, photography, music, transportation and an officiant are arranged through your own vendors. Open bar packages are priced per guest and chosen separately, and additions such as enhanced dining moments, late-night additions and extended hours are quoted on request.
Before you come for a tour
What if we have fewer than 30 guests?
Smaller groups are welcome, and dining bills at the minimum for your date, counted on adult guests. Weekdays year-round are Tier Three, which carries the lowest minimum, at 30 guests.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Every dietary need is handled, because the chef builds every menu from scratch and adjusts it for allergies, intolerances and preferences. Every menu carries three mains, one of them always vegetarian, and a complimentary tasting is offered before your wedding, subject to availability.
Are 2027 dates still available?
Most 2027 dates are still open, and the exception is September, where most Saturdays are booked. Send us the date you have in mind and we will confirm availability within 72 hours.
Where is Ashlar located?
Ashlar is at 2876 Munster Road in Munster, Ontario, about 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa, 20 minutes from Kanata and 15 minutes from Stittsville. Hotel accommodation is available in Kanata, Stittsville and Richmond.
